Great device, better than advertised
I have an Xbox 360 and an internet Samsung TV where I get either Netflix or Zune movies but I ordered the VUDU because it gave me more options. Its great the setup is easy and it has a hard drive to store the movies you purchase. The interface is easy to use and has recently been redesigned/updated. I use this now as my main option. You can even get 3 types of picture quality (SD, HD and ultra HD). The VUDU allows you to watch a movie on the latest HD TVs using the latest HD quality specs (use v4 hdmi cables).A great purchase.

BETTER THAN HAVING A VIDEO STORE AT HOME
Having lived with a VUDU for the last couple of months, I can honestly say it has changed the way we enjoy our video experence.Being able to select a movie to watch at the moment you start to watch is a wonderful experence, If the guys come by we can pick a "guys" movie, if the wife wants to see a "romantic" movie we pick one. If we are lucky to have the kids with us we can pick one that satisfies them.With over 5,000 movies there is something for everyone.The quality is great on my 52" LCD tv, better than DVD, plus no trips to the video store or waiting for the mailman, they are all in my VUDU.This is truly a great product.

Vudu's combination of solid Standard Def and High Def video performance, stable hardware/software, easy to use interface, ease of setup and instantaneous playback make it the closest product yet to the "killer" internet based movie delivery platform. But for a few small improvements and one very critical issue with the studios, vudu could be the next way most of us watch movies on demand.First the good news:* Video quality is excellent on the SD content and outstanding on the HD. On Hot Fuzz (SD) there were NO discernable artifacts and the upscaled pic (1080p) on my RS1 FP was as good as the same movie I saw upscaled on my Toshiba XA2. Vudu is good, with a chance to be great...
I received my Vudu last week. Set up was a breeze. Just make sure you have an ethernet/power/HDMI or Component connections nearby.As far as looks and functionality, they are spot on. This box is made from the same guys that brought you Tivo, which is a GOOD thing. Simple and intuitive menus make toying around on the unit a joy. The remote, while funky looking, feels great in the hand and works like a charm.As far as content goes, while large at 5000+ videos, was lacking a little in the new release category. I'm a big movie buff, so perhaps its because I seen alot of them already. Xbox Live has a much better selection right now of newer movies... and movies in HD.Another quibble was the purchase/rent options. Some movies are only for rent, some movies are only for purchase. I have joined the Malone movement
I first heard Malone's original music in his feature duet called Little Things with Syleena Johnson on her new album Chapter V: Underrated. I've had my eyes and ears out for music from him ever since. His vocal chords are like a chameleon...meaning he can sing anything and stay true to form.Some of my ABSOLUTE favorites are Body Talk, Don't Stop, All You Gotta Do Is (Snap), Love Elevator, and This Feeling. While I don't agree with the title of "Dat N*@@a", the song is playfully infectious none the less, makes you move and lives up to the name of the EP...challenging listeners to think outside the box.Malone is like a hidden treasure. Once you discover his music you find out so much more about his music journey (like the fact that he was a semi-finalist on American Idol) and enjoy the story he has to tell. Big things are in store for Malone and I've joined the Malone movement.

Amazingly Simplde
I bought an internet ready 60 inch plasma tv and in order to connect it to my router I would have needed to run an ethernet cable underneath my house. Well, after discovering the vudu wireless kit, my problems are over. I plugged one unit (powered by an ac connection) into my router and the other (powerd by the usb port on my tv) into the ethernet port on my tv. There is NO configuration. Within two minutes I was able to stream netflix, vudu and all of the provided features of my tv. I have no buffering issues and the picture and sound quality is amazing. I HIGHLY recomment the vudu wireless kit for all of you devices including xbox 360 and other game consoles. This is a very good product that you will love.

Works well, No break.
I bought these about a couple years ago, and they work awesome.I'm buying one more set for another Tv to connect with settop box and found out the price has marked down which is even better news.I actually don't know if there's another brand or product similar to VUDU, but if there is, I'm still gonna stick with this.

Yippee, it worked perfectly!
So excited. Took me 5 minutes to attach one unit to my router and the other unit to the vudu box. I wanted the VUDU box in my bedroom but never moved it from the family room because of the pain of bringing an ethernet cable to the room (behind walls etc). Problem solved.

Firmware Upgrade Brings Massive User Interface Changes
Boxee has addressed some of the concerns I highlighted in my review with firmware updates. Please see the bottom of the review for updates.-----Out of the box, the Boxee Box runs the familiar beta version of the software, which is familiar to me as a prior Boxee user. Everything works fine, from what I tested, though the edges of the screen were cut off a tiny bit (not enough to cause a problem). While exploring all the options, I found that a firmware upgrade to version 1.0 of the Boxee software was available. I installed it, the unit rebooted, and it automatically started a quick-and-simple screen calibration utility. That calibration was useful, because the stock firmware had some overscan problems (that is, the edges of the screen were cut off) on my TV.Version 1.0 brings with it a new, simplified user interface. Only going to get better
Some perspective on me: I have never written a review but felt it was necessary in this case. I have been streaming video accross my network since the Buffalo Link Theater (7 yrs ago). I consider myself somewhat of a computer\electronic geek. I, like many others, have been excited about the release of the Boxee Box. I received the Boxee Box immediately after its release in 2010 and, after testing, wrote a scathing 1-star review. Since that time, the Boxee Box has received several firmware updates. As of July 2011, I no longer feel the Boxee Box merits 1-star and am thus reworking this review. Consider this review up-to-date as of July 2011.Let me begin by stating that I am new to the Boxee platform. I've occasionally watched a missed episode of network TV on my MacBook attached to my TV; but only as a last resort. I probably visit youtube.com about 4 times per year and never for more than a 10 minute period. I pay for DirecTV and Sirius XM and have 4 networked DVRs. Anyway, the company: Vudu was formed in 2004, and is a box which delivers movies to the TV, the likes of which have been tried in various combinations by Akimbo, now-defunct Moviebeam, recently-launched AppleTV, with mixed results till now. (Lots of pics of the system here on Gizmodo ). But, and a huge “but”, it is a box. Vudu, another new digital movies-to-tv service, gets a huge hype treatment on the front business page in Sunday NYT , so much so that the story rivals the recent spate of completely-clueless-John-Markoff-NYT-front-pagers.
