Performs as advertised
I bought this item to repair my son's brand new sneakers who's shoe sole broke off two days after I bought them. I would have taken them for a refund but the fact is, I got a very good deal on them and they didn't have anymore of the same size. So I got the Shoe Goo and it did the trick applied it and let it rest over night and that did the trick.

great product
Strong adhesive which remains flexible (indefinitely?), sets quickly, and stays clear. Use it all the time, as useful around the house as duct tape. Used to repair shoes, fabrics, glue on electronic parts, glass glazing etc.

Good Hold, but Messy!
The soles of my shoes won't be falling off anytime soon, but it was a task and a half trying to clean up the sides of the shoe after applying the goo. Also, it is nearly impossible to keep the goo from building up on the end of the tube and getting stuck in the cap. This resulted in the cap getting glued onto the tube once... trying to open it was not fun!In order for the goo to work best, you need to apply it liberally and need to let it dry for several hours before use. I usually let the shoes sit overnight before wearing them, just to be sure. However, by using the amount necessary to get a good, strong seal, excess goo will always seep out the sides of your shoe once you press the sole and shoe together. The best way to clean this up is to scrape it off with a plastic knife. However, it turns into a gooey, sticky mess very quickly! Worked great
This product has a good consistency during the application to allow it to cover the hole in the sneaker while not too liquidly that allow it to be lay on thick. Just needed to allow it to start harden in ~5 mins, then let completely dry to overnight. End result has a harden rubbery texture.

The Boot Sealant that Does the Job...
I need a boot sealant that does the job in wet snow, slush, and shallow snow melt. Spray on sealants are a fine finishing touch over a layer of Shoe Goo sealant that keeps the water out. Shoe Goo is a sealant that needs to be applied first, and kept warm for best application at about 70 degrees. So, it's a good idea to apply it in town, perhaps over a low heat from the range or oven, before heading out to the slopes and cross country adventures up the hill.

Good Gloo
Bought some shoes recently and the sole of the shoe happen to rip of the top of the shoe, and I no adhesives to repair it, so I came across this product.Works well. Fixed my shoe right up. I can now wear my shoes without worrying about the sole falling off.

Great for repair
I use "Shoe Goo" to repair my own shoes and to patch up my "Ultra Paw" dog booties. Great product. Definitely put some vaseline on the inside rim/threading of the tube to prevent sticking.

Wonderful, for all kinds of stuff.
This is great glue, the black version of Shoe Goo, Goop, Plumber's Goop, Automotive Goop, etc. All the 3.7 oz packs of similar looking glue are all identical,(except this is black) and made by the same company. This stuff is very strong, slightly flexible, and sticks to most everything.

An Amazing Product!
There are a handful of "miracle" products out there that end up exceeding expectations in a marvelous way. This is one of them. I picked up a tube of this stuff at the local "variety store" to re-attach the sole of a pair of nearly new Adidas running shoes (I'm not giving those 5 stars!). Two years later, the shoe is beginning to fall apart, but the sole, yes sir, is still hanging tough. I've used this product in a number of different applications where I used to use 100% silicon adhesive with the major difference that they NEVER need to be re-glued once glued with SHOE GOO. You better not want to un-glue what you apply this stuff to, because you won't. Anyway, quite the amazing product and a solid 5 stars. Every household should have a tube for those tough jobs.

Here are the missing instructions
Instructions: (1) Make sure your Goo purchase is recent. The shelf life in your garage is not long. (2) Have both the shoes and Goo at room temperature. There are handling and curing problems if you deviate from this ideal. (3) Lay out more newspapers than you think and get a few paper-towels handy. (4) Buy a big bag of rubber bands unless you have quite a few sizes already (important). (5) Using a small wire-brush (toothbrush style is best) clean out the area to be glued. Do this outside. Get out all the dirt and sand, and also rough-up the surfaces. You can't glue to dirt, and any little pebbles will be in there forever. Shoe must be completely dry (place held open over a heater vent for 24-hours if need be). (6) Goo glue it up. Be generous, but not too generous. Be particular careful to fully coat both surfaces at the edges of the shoe. (7) Rub the outside surfaces to squish the Goo around inside the sole. (8) Start putting...

Great Product with a Short Shelf Life
This is a terrific item to keep just about any sensible shoe and sandal bottom from wearing out too quickly. I've had great success with it. Unless you are going to doctor-up a lot of needy shoes, athletic ones in particular, at one time, buy the smaller Shoe Goo size. Shoe Goo stored over an extended period of time loses most of its potency.

Not Just For Shoes
I bought a tube of Shoe Goo to repair my favorite Lands End slip ons that were separating in the front. Spreading on a generous amount of shoe glue, I used the adhesive to repair and also to seal all around the front seam where the heel meets shoe. The repair is so strong that it may outlast the shoes. Incredible stuff. I also used the Shoe Goo to repair a couple tears in a storm window I made with plastic sheeting. Again the repair should outlast the window. My greatest use of Shoe Goo was to attach a small Potato Head to the top of our mailbox. At least three previous Potato Heads on the mailbox have been stolen by vandals. To take this newest PH, they might just have to take the whole mailbox. I hope they don't. The Goo is not easy to squeeze out of the tube and it is very sticky and not easy to spread. However, it dries relatively quickly and works fabulously. Putting a layer of Vaseline on the threads before replacing the lid will insure...

Unique Product
This is an great product. I use it to repair plastic products like the plastic hood on my John Deer tractor that is prone to crack. Not pretty, looks like a weld of plastic, but it is strong and really bonds all types of plastic and other materials well. Four years ago I used it to glue the handle back on my GE microwave. Still holding up to daily use. This is a thick glue.

Great product
I play a lot of tennis and continually have trouble with tennis shoe durability due to the abrasive nature of court surfaces. I've used the Shoe Goo products for several years and found them to work quite well in stretching the life of my shoes. Shoe bottoms need to be cleaned thoroughly before application, otherwise the cured product can delaminate. The only downside I have experienced is that it can be a bit slippery if a large surface of the shoe sole is covered - but this is only for the first few minutes or so of playtime until you've worn the sheen off of a recent application. Otherwise great product, very durable and effective.

Works great in tough conditions
Most people I know use this to glue shoes back together, but I've found another use: sealing the toes of waterproof boots. Being in the swimming pool industry, my job requires a lot of kneeling on concrete pool decks, which wrecks the toes of my expensive steel toed work boots. Instead of buying new boots every month, I can just slather some Shoe Goo on the end and the boots are waterproof once again. Works like a charm!
