Excellent Product!
I recently bought this Tv wallmount to hang my new 42" Toshiba clearscan 240 LCD. I was admittedly apprehensive about hanging my tv up on the wall, but after reading the reviews on the previous model by Cheetah and hearing the lone review on the newer model of wall mount, I decided to go for the upgraded model.I am certainly glad that I did! The build quality of this beast of a mount is high, though just like the original mount it's fasteners are somewhat suspect, so I did what other recommended and went out and bought new bolts and jam nuts. (A tiny cost of 45cents for a few heavy duty nuts and bolts)The assembly was straight forward, instructions easy to follow and it certainly holds up well under even my bodyweight when I tested the strength of it on the wall (didn't budge an inch). Great value - SOLID for mounting 40-50" LCD's
Don't buy one of these from Best Buy for $300.Don't pay for someone to install one of these unless you can't operate a drill.These Cheetah mounts are great. I have one APDAM3B (newer model) & one APDAM2B. They take no more than an hour to install - and that's with finding the studs (I would not mount one of this without standard 16" studs), making sure everything is level, double checking your measurements, etc.They are extremely versatile (should fit most TV's and most homes) and very sturdy.My LCD TV's are 40-50 lbs, but I would have no qualms about installing a big 100 lb Plasma.The instructions are decent, but remember they can't account for every house and every TV.

This is a solid mount, the wall plate is 17.7" wide, allowing it to be mounted into two standard studs 16" apart. This provides a stable two stud installation for displays in the 32-55" size range. This mount will fit hole patterns up to VESA 400x400 (16"x16"). It is made from 2mm steel and can handle displays weighing up to 115lbs. The profile is only 2.75" in the flat position yet offers up to 15 degrees of tilt. This mount is currently only available in black. The mount arrived on time.I bought this to hang my Toshiba 52" above the fire place.The instructions are easy to follow and any and all hardware come with the mount.My only complaint is the mounting bracket, It could be wider.The stud's in the wall are wider than 18" (non load bearing wall)If it came with some sort of "extender" bracket then this unit would be absolutly PERFECT!.I ended up cutting the sheetrock and added more 2x4 in the wall and put the sheet rock back.(wasn't too bad)Once it was mounted, I extended the arm and put my weight on it (210lbs) this thing did not budge! Very sturdy unit, it suprised the heck out of me.I will buy another one without hesitation as soon as I get another flat TV for my bedroom.Hope this help's!!!!Max

Best GAMING LCD out ther for the $$$$
This monitor has great color and the brightness is bit bright at stock settings for my taste. But with a little adjustments in the menu makes the LCD shine just right. I have used Dell 24" and Samsung as well. And this LCD keeps right up with them in picture and specs. The only thing this monitor is missing is a height adjustment with it. But the construction of this monitor is ROCK SOLID. It feels very strong and well built. Now for all of you GAMERS out there this monitor has it all. A 3ms response time is amazing, with NO ghosting effects at all. I am using 1 8800GTX card with a resolution of 1920x1200 playing Crysis DEMO is awesome. For a 28 wide screen, 3ms, great picture, this is a must for all of you gamers out there. Now if you want to spend $1500.00 for a 30" monitor make sure you have another video card to push it with it. So save 2k and buy this monitor for gaming with 1 video card you will be so happy you did..And if you have a PS3 or XBOX360 play your BluRay or...

great all-purpose / work monitor
This monitor is an amazing value (it can be found for $500).I am a software engineer and bought this monitor for my home office.It has a very large .309" dot pitch, which is exactly what I wanted, so text appears as large as possible at a given font size.Not sure why some people whine about large dot pitches in monitors (and at the same time buy 50"+ TVs that naturallycome with humongous dot pitches).This is an awesome monitor for a programmer or anyone spending a lot of time reading text.The 1920x1200 resolution is ideal: it's more than 1080p (full HD) and doesn't need a fancy dual-link dvi graphics card. Any 32MB card can display full color at this resulotion. Unless you play 3d games, you can take full advantage of this monitor for web browsing, watching video, photo processing, presentations and so on with a $30 card.If you go to a 30" monitor, you get a very small dot pitch (text will appear smaller) and will need...

Review of Hanns.G from Amazon and I-Inc version from TigerDirect
First of all, these monitors are meant to give you the biggest picture available for the lowest possible price. With that in mind, they're not bad at all. I have three of these so far, one original Hanns.G model (from Amazon at $479) and 2 I-Inc models (from TigerDirect at $349.) All three worked fine right out of the box. I'm not a monitor testing shop, so these are my subjective comments:The good: big, bright, sharp, reasonable color uniformity across the screen. All three came with VGA-VGA cable, VGA-component breakout cable, HDMI-DVI cable, mini-3.5mm to RCA L/R cable, mini-3.5mm to mini-3.5mm cable and a US 3-pin grounded power cable. CD included had display drivers for Vista (and Vista x64.) Interestingly, all 3 displays call themselves (via the drivers) a "Hanns.G HG281"The bad: BIG (what else can you call something this big), hot (the I-Inc models get noticably warmer), some vignetting in the corners, and inconsistent color quality from unit to...

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC
The previous reviewer with the bad picture quality, etc. simply MUST have gotten a bad unit, because ours is absolutely FANTASTIC.The picture approaches HDTV in clarity and resolution, the color purity, saturation, and subtle beauty is stellar and the component video signal in is nothing short of a revelation, only limited by it's standard-def resolution.Reflection side-to-side is MINIMAL. Film grain is often evident, for example, even though this is standard-definition.I would easily go so far as to say that this unit pushes standard-definition resolution to it's absolute max in terms of performance and all other metrics above.You honestly owe yourself a good, in-person demo of this unit, it is stellar.If this TV ever broke, I'd absolutely buy it again.

Great TV for its price
Like previous reviewers have said, this TV can't match HD. But I also agree that the only difference in picture quality between this and HD is a slight increase in resolution, this has one of the clearest non-HD displays I've ever seen. If you want to make the most of this TV, hook up your DVD player through either the S-video or the component video (preferably) and look at how vibrant and rich the colors are and how sharp the picture itself is.

The Sharp 27-F543 is a 27-inch flat-screen TV with inputs for DVD players, VCRs, game consoles, or camcorders. It has a two-line digital comb filter, which separates the color signal from the black-and-white signal to reduce noise and artifacts, resulting in higher picture quality. With MTS (multichannel TV sound) stereo and SAP (second audio program), the 27-F543 can receive and decode stereo and SAP wherever they are available.

The EZ Setup feature is activated the first time the television is turned on, and will automatically prompt you to attach the cable or antenna and start the initial channel setup with the touch of just one button. The built-in V-Chip is an electronic blocking device that lets parents control the programming to prevent children from viewing questionable programs. Using the onscreen display and ratings system, you can screen programs according to age and content.

Features include color temperature control, tone control, sleep timer, closed captioning, and VMS (velocity modulation scanning), which increases the refresh rate of an image, yielding a brighter and more accurate picture.

You get three composite-video inputs: two on the rear and one on the front for convenient hookup to your favorite gaming console or camcorder. The remaining rear composite-video inputs can accommodate any DVD player or video source. There is a rear S-video input and component-video input, as well. Good, not great...
You can find this tv at Costco for $250, which is an incredible price for a tv of this caliber... BUT, beware, unlike mentioned before, the quality is nowhere near HD, but if you're looking for a cheap, decent, "big" tv, then look no further. I'm pleased with mine except for the fact that it isn't HD ready, which I knew when I bought it, so that's my fault. If you are going to be watching a lot of DVD's as opposed to cable tv, then this tv is perfect; no matter if you have the color temperature setting at low or high.*EDIT*****I didn't know this TV came with component cable inputs. This means that this TV is much more deserving of 6 stars, rather than only 5. I've used the S-Video plug-in more times than my actual LCD monitor because it is almost like built-in anti-aliasing. Crystal clear picture that makes you just say, "wow." All my friends are jealous that this TV is part of my dorm room and they all come over to watch movies on it. It's that good.
