If You Have a PS3.....
....then you absolutely have to have this. The sound quality and the ability to adjust the different volumes is outstanding. I play Call of Duty about 90% of the time online and this just makes the entire online experience better. I use to get into games with kids making annoying noises etc. Now with the push of a finger I don't have to listen to it but I can still hear the game perfectly. In fact, a buddy and me went into a private match on shipment. I could hear him from across the map setting up claymore's, pulling grenade pins, moving and even swiping his knife. The only negative thing I have to say about this headset is that it's not wireless but I am sure that would add quite a lot of money to the price. They are also extremely light and comfortable and .................................................You know what, stop reading this and just go buy a set of these already.

Best thing I've bought for my PS3 since Battlefield Bad Company

Call of Duty Widow
My husband is a remarkably talented gamer. He's plays everything from "Ghosbusters" to "Little Big Planet," from "Modern Warfare 2" to "Rock Band" to NSMB. He's played almost every system available in the USA, but prefers the diversity of PS3. Out of necessity, he mastered the art of playing with the TV on mute (a courtesy to me, we all know how late things can go). But all that changed, this past holiday season when his amazingly thoughtful wife (that would be me!) bought him a brand spanking new pair of these! So far, he's had nothing but positive things to say. Specifically, he's mentioned the volume controls, overall flexibility and comfort, chat boost, the surround sound effect, and crispness of in game sound. The P11 headset brings quality at a fair price. It boasts many features that I look for in a headset, while keeping a good 'bang for the buck' price and not sacrificing build quality.** THE GOOD **- The overall design for the P11 is fairly simple yet sturdy. The cuffs fit snug on my ears even with glasses!(soft foam earmuffs make a big difference)- 50mm speakers are a nice addition. this headset is a great value. for only 60 bucks, you get very high quality sound for both your ps3 and pc or mac. one noticeable thing is the weight. these are very, very light. most of the time i forget i even have them on! the mic is very high quality; reception is clear on both ends. things sound spectacular on the ps3, especially bad company 2. footsteps are loud, gunshots are powerful, and explosions are very articulate with plenty of bass. overall, a great headset and a great value.

Great Headset, nice upgrade from x11's
I just picked these up today, Aug. 16, 2011, which is when they became available. I really love the way these things sound. they are great on movies, music, and especially games. I've had the px 2's, the x11's and these are far superior. The sound is much more rich/full. Without a dss footsteps are crystal clear and no hiss or background noice. the bass boost is great too, if you really want to sound whore turn up the bass a little and those footsteps sound like stomps. I am really pleased because no matter how high i turn up the volume i don't get any distortion. The ear cups are bigger as well making them feel more comfortable than the x11's or px21's. If you liked the x11's then you'll love these. Basically if you have the x11's/px21's and they work then you dont really need these. But if your current headset has distortion or is broken or if your looking to get your first headset for gaming, I highly recommend these without a doubt. great piece of gaming equipment.
These headphones are the perfect gift or accesoy to any gamer who enjoys FPS games. I can have the volume as loud as i wanted without disturbing my kids or wife. I can also watch movies and even though they are wired it is long and easy to keep under controll and out of reach of little kids. They are ultra comfortable and the sound is great. I would perfer surround sound for sure but did not have enough to invest in the next grade up. the price was a little high 60.00 but it was worth it. On Call of Duty black ops i can hear enemies entering a building on the first floor while im on the second floor, not only that but i can also hear what direction it is coming from. I ultimatley decided upon the wired pair as well because i read many reviews stating the lower end wirless headphones had lots of interference in the presence of wireless products i.e. baby moniter, laptop, cell phones, and basically anything that is wirless. Bottom line great sound, decent price, and looks awesome.

This pair of headphones has a truly spectacular frequency response range. Despite the fact these are headphones, you will FEEL the bass reverberating between your ears! The fact that these work with pretty much any audio source you'll run across from stereo analog input to digital fiber optic is pretty sweet.I've owned many headphones. Be it from cheap stereo to "pseudo-surround", such as the Plantronics Gamecom (pseudo-surround) and I even have a pair of the mid-line SHURE headphones (they have reasonable bass response), this pair will blow them away.Sound is crisp in the mid/high range as well. For the price, you certainly won't be dissappointed! If you're a SHURE headphone fan, these will really impress you.The only downside to these are the MASSIVE amount of cables that accompany them. Best video game related purchase ever
I never write reviews. In 12 years on Amazon, this is the second one I believe; but, I had to share my experience with these fantastic headphones. I'll be brief - don't worry about price; cost (rather than price) implies value atop price, and let me tell you the added value is well worth it. Besides the 5.1/7.1 ability (separating it from the lower tier model), is the fact that it is usable on X360, PC, and Mac, which is fantastic for me since I game on literally every modern platform. My PC gaming sessions, audio/video work on Mac, voice chat/calling, has been as great an experience as on my preferred gaming platform, PS3. I mention this because I've played with dozens of headsets over the years and nothing comes close. As far as making calls over Google Voice and Skype, the good news continues. After going through several stock Microsoft headsets, I finally decided to get something a bit more durable - what I ended up getting is the Limited Edition Turtle Beach MW3 Foxtrot Headset.Out of the box, I was pretty quickly satisfied with the design and the feel of it. It's well-made, yet lightweight. Hook-up is also quite simple, but if you need instructions, they're there for you. As this thing is wired, it doesn't take batteries; it simply plugs into one of the USB ports on your 360.(I recommend the one in the back, just because. Well. It's in the back.)On the cord, there's a little box that allows you to adjust game sound, chat sound, toggle mute, adjust bass, and this thing that says "Expander" ... I'm ignorant as to what this thing is supposed to be, all I know is that when you turn it to on, you get a bit more static than when it's off, doing nothing from what I can tell other than lowering the audio quality. The MW3-branded Foxtrot is nothing more than re-packaged PX21 by Turtle Beach. The PX21 is also a universal headset (Xbox360, PS3, PC), despite being labeled as "PS3 headset" on Amazon. This is a good headset, and pretty easy to setup and use, but unless you're really into the MW3 logos and green coloring, save yourself $40 and get the Turtle Beach PX21's. Same exact thing. The PX21 would get 4 stars for being above average headsets at a good price. The MW3 Foxtrot loses a star just because it does the same and costs more.

HUGE difference for me.
Before I had this headset, I was using speakers from an acer h223 monitor, and the sound was horrible. This will review will be based on me playing Modern Warfare 2 since this is why I bought the headset, that and my fiance always complaining about the sound at night.The Good:Now, I am able to hear EVERYTHING. At first it was overwhelming, I hear things in the game I didn't know existed. I use the Ninja Pro Perk so my steps are silent, so that I can hear everyone else's steps. Now I can hear when someone is walking in a house, on metal stairs, or in a grassy field. I can hear "boosters" place their insertions and hunt them down. I hear silencers going off in the distance. Good with a few flaws
I purchased the X11 for use with Xbox Live because of the problem of being able to use a mic if you also play with headphones for game sound. It seems there is a distinct lack of headphone-mic solutions that have the proper size plug to fit the mic jack on the controller, and that also have independent chat and game volume controls (kind of important if you want to be able to hear chat over game sounds). Thanks to Turtle Beach and their line of headphones this problem is solved. I went with these because I don't mind a wired solution since I play at my computer desk using my monitor and distance isn't a problem.These headphones work exactly as advertised. If you follow the directions and set your chat settings on Xbox to work through the headphones and turn the volume up to 10 you will not have any problems hearing voice chat without having to crank your chat volume to max, as a previous reviewer wrote.
