Works well but....
Acne is complicated and varies from person to person.While this product may not work for some, it worked for me.I've had acne since I was 16 (I am now 22) and I tried Proactiv when I was 19 on and off. Sometimes, it would work, sometimes my acne is very stubborn and Proactiv wasn't very effective. BUT it worked the majority of the time, so it is worth buying and trying.The only con is that it makes my skin a little sensitive and doesn't keep acne off.Recently, I am into more natural products such as and I found it to be just as effective without the added sensitivity...and because it is all organic and natural, I can use it everyday safely to keep the acne from coming back. Again it may not work for everyone.

Proactiv has worked for me
When I was younger I used more intense medications (prescription mostly) and they would make my skin beat red and turn it so dry and flaky that it wasn't even worth it in the end. Proactive has never had this type of effect on me and I consider myself to have very sensitive skin. Since I have such sensitive skin, my skin tends to have a bit of redness in general, but I also take Inositol powder which makes it appear more 'pink' and bright than anything else. Proactiv makes my skin very smooth and even toned and I NEVER have a breakout while using Proactiv along with the inositol.If you have sensitive skin, I also highly recommend Inositol powder, . Worth the price
My skin is acne prone and I have tried many things in the past to make it clear up, but nothing has worked. At first Proactiv was a little irritating and drying for me. Word of advice, don't get it near your eyes because the cleanser does sting. The 3 step worked right away for me, within a couple weeks my skin started getting clear and brighter. Occasionally I have minor breakouts, but nothing compared to before starting this kit. It's been a year now and I've never used any of the other products in the line, except this 3 piece kit and another moisturizer. The kit alone dries out my skin, so I use a separate moisturizer and SPF. The price is a little high for this kit, but here on Amazon I compared to the Proactiv site and another site who also sell these products and this price here is most competitive. I like being able to purchase what I need instead of an entire kit at one time. A friend recommended Proactiv to me. I would recommend this kit to most anyone except those...

Since years I have problems with my forehead.It is not acne it looks like an allergy,it is specially bad when I sweat a lot which I do often because I live in a hot country ,in Costa Rica.No doctor could help me.My wife suffers a little bit with acne and no product helped.Then she ordered PROACTIV and she told me.Just try it you never know.Of course as you can imagine I did not believe a bit in this.I tried already to many things and even the doctors....O.K.I used it and I could not believe it.After 3 days my forehead was much better,after 1 week my forehead was clean it looked as I never had something.My wife and I could not believe it.My wife is also better but the result is not so fast as mine.I do not get paid for this review and usually I do not like to write,but it was so impressing that I wanted to share it.Probably this product will not help everyody but it helped me.Now I am using the product for 1 month and everything is back as it was...

Good product

Calming and Clearing
I've used this mask for years. When I was younger (teens and early twenties) I had oily acne prone skin and used the entire Proactiv system. Now that I'm 30 and my skin has dried out, I use this mask once, or twice a week to clear my pores and to calm inflamed pimples. It works best after a shower when skin is soft and the "gunk," in your Tzone is soft, too. I apply, hang out for twenty or thity minutes and rinse with warm water, or exfoliate with a warm wash cloth. Results are not permanent, but for a few days at least, bye bye blackheads. Remember, for BEST results, use this mask after your shower, or steam your face carefully over a pot of hot water with a towel (to catch the steam) and apply when skin is warm and soft. =o)

AMAZING
I was once a Proactiv user and eventhough my skin is oily it became very dry. I quit using Proactiv and then realized I needed to use a spot treatment. I tried everything but it either left me looking blotchy or it overdried my skin. I ordered just this refining mask and use everytime I feel something coming on. It works over night! I spot treat lightly at night and in the morning I do the same under my makeup. I LOVE IT!! I hope it's a product I'll be able to obtain from here on out. =}

Good spot treatment.
So I've used tons of acne products, and when I say tons I mean pretty much everything that's available in stores, and then several prescription products. I tried Proactiv, and it really only succeeded in drying my skin out and actually making my acne even worse. The only product in the entire Proactiv system that I actually saw good results with is this refining mask.I don't use the mask on my entire face, I just use it as an overnight spot treatment. I use a cotton swab to just dab a little bit on the surface of any pimples I have on my face, I let it dry, and I go to sleep with it on. Usually by morning the spot has reduced in size by at least half, or it's completely gone.If you're someone who has dry, acne-prone skin, you'll have to use it sparingly, because it does really dry your skin.

Not what I thought
When I ordered this product I thought I was getting the ORIGINAL renewing cleaser like it states on this description, only to find it was the NEW renewing cleanser..if you are a avid proactiv user you know that they changed the formula from the original to the new (they made the scubbing beads smaller and less effective) I wanted the ORIGINAL so next time I think this product should be specified better!

NOTHING BEATS PRO-ACTIV
My first few weeks in the USA was a very horrible experienced. My face broke out really really bad. I have never had such a polka dot face ever. I tried Dr. Miracle but it didn't work. I went online and purchased pro-activ and the results were just what i wanted. Although my first month of pro-activ my acne went away and my face began to glow i am absolutely addicted to pro-activ. I used pro-activ three times a day every day!!!!!
