Before I ordered this product, I sent an email to their tech support just to insure that it was non-ECC memory. I received a response the same day, which was appreciated (by the way, all retail PNY memory is non-ECC in case you were now wondering). No problems with the installation. The 2GB was recognized at 400 MHz. No problems since installation.

Works great!
I replaced the original DIMM in my iMac G5 with these two 1GB modules. Although I was apprehensive about opening the case and messing with the innards, between the instructions in the iMac manual (which doesn't try to dissuade owners from swapping out their own memory), and the instructions that came with the PNY DIMMs, I was easily able to replace the one 256 MB module with the two new 1 GB modules. It almost took longer to un-plug all the lines and cables and plug them back in than it took to replace the memory.And wow! What a difference in performance. I have over 5, 000 pictures in iPhoto, and they now load up in less than 5 seconds! Don't know why I waited so long to do this. Oh, right! The apprehension. Get over it!

Works real good!
I first tested my system with the crucial memory scanner tool. Then bought this pair of memory chips from Amazon as it was cheaper :). It works just fine. Just remember that you might have to stagger the memory chips in the slots to make it work.E.g., If you have 4 memory slots and have 1 GB in the form of 2 512MB RAMs in adjacent slots, it won't work if you put these 2 1GB RAMs in the next 2 free slots. You have to remove one of the 512MB RAMs, put in a 1GB RAM in its slot and insert the 512MB RAM in the free slot next to it. You could put the remaining 1 GB RAM in the remaining slot.

It's a great cooler, cover all six slots of my motherboards' memory, the light are bright, good air flow, keep memories fresh, just one cons, it slightly noisy, but depends of you call "noisy"... in my opinion it's better than Corsair Dominator AirFlow (CMXAF1), I had it too.I recomend it with eyes closed.

Great Memory Cooler
I was looking for a memory cooler for some time and was hesitant on getting one, mainly due to the fact that I wasn't expecting it to have a significant cooling effect and the fact that I wasn't sure how well they would fit.Happy to find out that this purchase was well worth the money. I heard that coolers that actually stretch and "snap" on the memory sockets would be to some extent better,,,, well, yes! to some extent. I wasn't sure if I was tightening the thing too much or if was snug enough. Took some experimenting but then all fit in place perfectly.I was amazed at the level of cooling, especially that my memory modules did not have the fancy heat sinks or fins. Installed on OCZ i7 extreme rams that have the modules sandwiched between thin metal heat dispensers.Heat went down from 64c to around 38c when gaming (measured with temperature probes of the asus rampage extreme II MB).Just note that on some motherboards, especially if you...

I installed the fan assembly about a month ago as a replacement for a similar product from Corsair on which one of the fans had failed after less than six months. The Kingston fans are much quieter than Corsair's and hopefully will prove to have better and longer lasting bearing fans than the Corsair. I did receive a warranty replacement from Corsair, but opted to keep the Kingston assembly in my system since it was so much quieter, particularly since my wife had repeatedly complained about how noisy my system had become after I had installed the Corsair fan assembly.

Performs well on my Mac Mini
I bought this as a DIY upgrade for my Mac Mini (stock Mid 2011, i5 @ 2.3GHz, 2 GB DDR3 RAM).The RAM fits correctly and has noticeably improved the performance of my machine. Installation was a little tricky because of the confined working area inside the Mini's case. Eventually I got both sticks to fit into their slots and clipped down. Overall the install took less than five minutes -- nothing to sweat over. I booted into OS-X (Lion 10.7.1) without any issues and the 8 GB showed up in 'About This Mac' immediately.I highly recommend this product, especially if you're a DIYer and want to save some money on your Mac Mini RAM upgrades.

Excellent! My 27" iMac SCREAMS with this additional RAM added!
As usual, Crucial does not disappoint! I have never had a problem with any Crucial product. They are the best!FYI, If you own a computer with one of the newest i3, i5, or i7 processors, you NEED extra RAM! The new Intel processors, while fast, are very RAM hungry! My previous iMac (a mid 2007 24" model with a 2.8Ghz Core2 Duo processor) only had 4GB of RAM (the max it takes), but did just fine. I never expected that a computer could ever possibly need more RAM than that.But, after I loaded all the same programs onto my new 27" iMac with a 3.2Ghz i3 dual core processor (using Apple's migrate utility), I was shocked to find that it was running MUCH SLOWER than my old iMac, with the same amount of RAM installed as my old one (4GB)! Lightening speed at a great price!
I bought a pair of these and doubled the 2GBs that my HP dv6500t came with. Two important things (both positive.) 1)Unlike the experience of some other users and reviewers, my Vista 32-bit system shows all 4 GBs (not the three the same OS shows with 4GBs loaded into my DELL desktop) and, more importantly, 2) The speed of the laptop is now lightening fast. It was no slouch with the 2GBs, but now - well, if you appreciate speed you'll find this very modestly priced upgrade well worth your while. No problems whatever.
