Good Deal at $29
At the price I paid, about $29 including shipping, this was a good deal. After I bought it, Sam's had it for $26. However with the sales tax, it was just about a $1 less than what I paid. The person that filled the tank for me said it was a good tank. I bought it to be able to use the 20 lb. tank instead of the small canister propane tank on my Coleman grill, since the small ones did not last very long. The only negative thing I can say was that there where some small dents in the tank but I am assuming this occurred during shipping. I guess I could return it, but I didn't feel it was worth the hassle. Also, the tank came "pre-purged" so that it was ready to fill. The grill works even better now with the larger tank. If you use your grill a lot, this is the way to go. You can use it to refill, or use it to exchange for a full tank at the stores that have tank exchanges. Great little tank! No more disposable propane canisters.
This tank is very handy if you have a portable propane grill or stove, etc., and don't want to use the disposable fuel bottles which are nearly impossible to recycle. Extension hoses are readily available to connect the tank to the regulator where the disposable fuel bottle would fit on your appliance. It's easy to carry back and forth to the picnic table while car camping and makes a nice little back-up tank for my trailer or home BBQ. I've had no trouble getting the tank filled at my local hardware store. Too bad this little tank costs so much compared to a 20 lb tank, but Amazon's price on this one is as good as any.

Just right for mobility!
A great tank size for heating an ice fishing hut or running a propane stove or lamp while camping. It's easier to lug around that a 20 lb tank and MUCH less expensive to use than the 1 lb disposables. It's pricey, but pays for itself quickly.

Good buy on sale.
The tank came badly packed. As a result the handle was bent on top. I had to fix this problem to even get it filled. Once filled the 40 pound tank was easy enough to handle. I had no trouble loading and unloading the tank after it was filled. The tank works well for my application and even though I have run it for about 5 hours now it still shows full. Should last me a long time at that rate. I would suggest putting a gauge on the tank to keep track of the amount of propane in the tank. May be a long time between fill ups.

Needs better packing on the Valve end
As one poster stated; my tank arrived in similar condition.. The valve protector handle was smashed down on one side and I had to pry it back up. All they did was throw it into a cardboard box and close it. A better way would to use a foam block around the valve end; but I guess spending another $.25 to keep it from getting damaged from being thrown is too much money..It does the job.My suggestion is check your local hardware stores. Lowe's showed them out online and yet when I was able to finally stop by; they did have the 100 pounders in stock.. Another 40.00 and I would have had one instead of this tank..

Good tank
Recieved the tank with a portion of the round base ring dented in, seems to be a common occurrence with these from the handling through the shipping agents. Not a big deal as its fairly thin steel and can be beat back out to get the round shape again.As far as the tank, seems to function just fine, but as mentioned previous it has to be purged by who ever fills your tank for the first time.You may want to check with you propane provider in your area before you purchase if they are set up to do this for you.A note on the price, being there was a $40 discount promotion if you signed up for a Amazon credit card at the time of purchase, was the main reason I bought it here and saved a few bucks. I did see the same tank sold at Menards for around $70+, can't remember the exact price.The tank itself would be 5 stars, but with the base ring dented in, and really no fault of Amazon, rated the whole transaction at 4 stars because of the usual poor care and performance...

Finally you know exactly how much liquid is in the tank
Note: I wrote a review of the LC-10 cylinder which is mainly used for camping (lanterns, stove, etc) - the LC-20 is the normal 4-5 gal bar-b-que cylinder. Amazon's search engine and stock levels cause the half size to come up first so be certain which you are buying. This one exactly replaces the rusty steel cylinder normally on your bar-b-que.Lots of people will ask, "how can fiberglass hold pressurized gas?" The tricks are that the fiberglass is wound on a mold in a proprietary pattern with a robotic machine that combines circular weaves, cross weaves, overlaps, all while applying a composite thermoplastic resin which cures under heat and pressure for 10 minutes. There are some significant advantages to this method of construction in consistency, total lack of rust,and ability to see through tank to be able to view the liquid level. Lite Propane Tank
I ordered the 20# Lite Propane cylinder and received it on time. The product is as advertised. It is much lighter than a steel 20# cylinder and you can see the propane level in the tank. The tank appears to be made of thick fiberglass wrap encased in a plastic housing. Helps to have a back light to see the fuel level. Notice in the advertisement they tilt the cylinder to highlight the fuel line. I have to do that sometimes to read the fuel level because when it is sitting level in a cabinet, the fuel line is not obvious. This is a great product and I really like the reduced weight, no rust, and won't dent my (you name it) if I bump this against it during transport. Definitely going to buy another one. The only down side is the price.

2nd time around
Tank was delivered fast and securely. Had it filled with propane and two weeks later without using it propane level down to the 1/4 level. Upon inspection found a small pin hole leaking propane near the 3/4 fill level. This had to occur sometime after filling as the pin hole would have been discovered during the filling process. My only guess is that it could have been defective all along. But hard to believe that it passed the certification process. Anyway I contacted Amazon to inform them of the situation. The first person I dealt with insisted that I send it back by UPS even after I kept informing him that it still has propane and is leaking. This person eventually put me on hold and then I was disconnected. The second person was more reasonable but did ask if I could get it repaired and Amazon would pay for the cost. I balked at this as well because I doubt anyone in my area could or would repair the tank or it would have passed the certification tests again. But then Amazon...

Propane cylinder. Already purged (vacuum made)
It's a propane cylinder... I knew I would get your attention right there :-)It's made in the USA and well made.Now shipping got 1 star as the 2 propane cylinders I bought were not protected and just put in a big cardboard box with a piece of paper to separate them. As a result, some scratches and a minor bending of the bottom support occurred.The cylinders come with vacuum already made and guaranteed 6 months. So don't turn on the valve before filling it.Of course the bozo at the local propane station told me "it needs top be purged because it's new". I replied "the vacuum was already made, it's good to fill. He proceeded to "purge" it by opening it and letting the air go in. That's the opposite of what was needed. Then he connected the rest of the pump and managed to put only 7.2 gallons of propane in it.Let's be clear. He managed to fill 7.4 gallons of propane into a small 20# cylinder, and could only put 7.2 in mine. Well, it was full of moist...

Great for small grills
I bought this tank to use with my small Weber Q grill for picnics and cookouts in parks and recreation areas. The old style tall 1-pound cylinders are a pain and are expensive. Lugging a 20-pound propane tank was not very practical for hiking back to picnic areas that aren't right by the parking lots. This tank is perfect. holds about 4.5# of propane, which should last a while. The large flat base makes it easy to transport, and virtually impossible to tip over. With the 10' hose kit for the Weber grills, this is a perfect set-up. As for the tank itself, it seems very well made. Much more solid feeling than the cheap ones that come with regular gas grills. I've only purchased this one tank, but if all the Worthington tanks are made the same way, they are definitely worth consideration if you refill your tanks instead of swapping them at one of the many tank swap locations. All in all, a very nice product.

Great for camping- portable & stable.
I've been using this tank when camping for several years. It is great with a "Propane Distribution Tree" that allows a lantern to be mounted on top and hoses for stoves to attach to the side. I normally place it on top of the campground picnic table.The tank is very portable and very stable due to the wide base. It appears to be more stable than the available 10 and 11 pound tanks.Even though it's a small tank, the much larger mass than 1 pound disposable cylinders prevents the common loss of pressure that happens when the small cylinders approach empty and they "freeze-up".The only downsides are due to the limited capacity, and difficulty in getting a good fill. This tank is so short that the "Overfill Prevention Device", which is a float valve, tends to shut off early if the technician tries to fill too fast. Ask them to just crack the fill valve and you will will get a better fill. Still, the usable capacity is just 4.2 pounds or about the...

Light Weight
Received the tank quickly and in good shape. The finish wasn't as good as 20 pound tanks from other makers. There were small bumps near the handle that were painted over, I assume the bumps are from solder. The empty tank weighs 11 pounds. When filled with one gallon of propane it weighs 15 pounds. It carries the equivalent of 4 one pound bottles. The tank base is wide in relation to its height and much more stable than a 20 pound tank. I've used it once so far to fuel a Camp Chef 55,000 btu fire pit & it worked well.
