great!
First of, don't expect all seeds to grow. There are casualty when it come to planting seeds, I guess. It will take about 4-5 days before you see little leaves grow out from dirt. Growing in nursery box is very helpful. I am happy with the out come, with good care, hopefully it will continue to mature. Top to learn more

Product Description
Lemongrass, or citronella root, is the reason Thai and Vietnamese dishes often have a compelling flavor that's not exactly lemon, but a subtle lemon perfume. It is sold by the stalk which resembles a green onion. Serving tips: Use the portion of the white base up to where the leaves begin to branch. If slightly dry, soak in warm water to rehydrate. Shred or finely slice and add to soups, curry dishes, and sauces for seafood.
Get a nice large quantity for generous use, 2 lbs is about 12 stalks. Will keep for weeks in the fridge, or cut into 4 inch pieces and freeze in a ziplock.
We are pleased to offer a special deal on select fresh produce essential for Thai cooking. We pack the produce carefully and ship every Mon/Tues/Wed via USPS Priority Mail (2 day delivery) to ensure freshness, and orders may not ship until Wed due to Mother Nature & harvest conditions. amaazing!
This was the second essential oil I ever purchased and I love it! I am coming to trust now foods more and more as I add their amazing oils to my collection. The lemongrass oil smells great and has countless uses: great for combination skin, great for homemade shampoo's, smells extremely light&fresh -perfect to add to your oil diffuser- fights athlete's foot, can be applied to the arm pit area for those prone to excessive sweating and it even has the option to be ingested as it boosts your energy! I personally add it to my apple cider vinegar toner, along with a few drops of lavander oil and I definitely see the difference in my skin. Top to learn more

They grew!
These are lemon grass seeds for the grass that is commonly used as a seasoning in South Asian cooking. (The Fire Bowl chain of restaurants has a coconut milk soup called Yom Ka which uses lemon grass.)These seeds came up fine, even in 108 degree Austin heat. Start them in a pot of well-mulched, loose dirt that has a clear plastic bag over the top to create a minature greenhouse. (Translucent grocery produce bags will do.) They won't sprout unless they are humid, not wet.I have little green shoots of lemon grass from these. So far, so good. Top to learn more

Pleasantly surprised
Most of the web sources on sprouting and growing lemongrass seeds claim that the seeds are hard to germinate, take over a month to sprout and have a poor germination rate.I was pleasantly surprised when the majority of my seeds germinated within a week of planting. I planted them in a standard seed tray with a moisture dome and placed them in a southern window. They sprouted within a week. The temperatures have been in the high 70, low 80.I am very pleased with this product. Top to learn more

Avocado and Kale Salad Topped with Lemongrass Tofu -2 large pinches of black lava salt. Spoon the salad into bowls and place the lemongrass tofu over top. Throw in some honey, citrus, vinegar and fresh lemongrass tofu (my addition) and we had a rumble on our hands that no taste bud could ignore. Heat the lemongrass tofu in a skillet. Featuring 18 of Iceland’s contemporary talents, this soundtrack is to the North Atlantic Nation what the avocado and kale salad is to the lunchroom. This is a blog run by a culinary student who back in February wrote about an indoor picnic that featured an avocado and kale salad. The kind that is made with iceberg lettuce, a couple round tomatoes, some shredded carrot or thinly sliced cucumber and a packet of lite salad dressing on the side. Combine all the salad ingredients (except tofu) in a large bowl. The diverse tastes represented in this salad require a soundtrack whose roots are embedded in ice. Some days it seems that everyone is eating salad. If one is the loneliest number, salad has to be the saddest food. Ingredients: lemongrass, peeled, reserve bottom half & bruised 1 part sugar 1 1/2 part tap water 1 bottle carbonated spring water, such as Perrier Method: Make a simple syrup with 1 part sugar and 1 1/2 part water in a small pot. make a lemongrass infused simple syrup and use it to sweeten your favourite brand of ice cold carbonated water. Let it simmer until your simple syrup is 1 part sugar and 1 part water. Notes: I used 1 lemongrass per 250g of sugar but that’s purely the cook’s preference. Of course, we can also make beautiful cocktails and punch with the fragrant lemongrass syrup. Add lemongrass to the pot and let it infuse while the sugary solution is simmering gently.
