Nice design
Easy to assemble. There are only 4 bolts to install: two for the wheels and two holding the frame to the body. Don't over-tighten the wheel bolts or they won't spin easily. It comes with the allen wrench and open ended wrench that you need to assemble it.The manual is printed on some rather brown recycled paper. It makes it a bit harder to read and the pictures don't come through well. The text is well written and easy to follow.Lots of safety feature built in. The power can't turn on until after it is plugged in (momentary "on" switch). There is a strain relief for where your extension cord connects to it, so they can't pull apart. Of course, there is an interlock when you open the cover (to clear jams). They make sure you can't get your hands in there from either the top or bottom. The blades can be flipped over to get a fresh edge. It also comes with a spare set of blades. The packaging could be better. Part of the body...

Great value
The was very easy to assemble and took less than ten minutes. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. After reading reviews for other chippers I was concerned that the process would be slow and very limited on the variety of materials the chipper would work on...for example the manufacturer very clearly states that it will NOT work on leaves (definitely a drawback). Much to my delight it made quick work on oak, pear, crepe Myrtle trimmings, as long as they were under the 15/8 size limit. I also tried bamboo, ( dry and with leaves) and it ate it right up, I even tried to shred up a rotten gourd ( which I don' t recommend ) and it did an adequate job. Overall a great value for typical homeowner use.
