Wonderful product gives professional results
The spectra paste food colors are simply fantastic. They provide a depth and clarity of color that is impossible to achieve with liquid food colors. And the hues are beautiful and distinctive. The black and red, two colors which are very difficult to get when dying frostings, etc. are especially nice - probably the best of any manufacturer I have tried.For those who had questions, I am not 100% certain about the sizes, but if the set is the same as mine, the bottles are 3/4 ounce. While that might not seem like much, all you need is a dot of this thick gel paste at the end of a toothpick to color large amounts of material. So there is plenty of coloring ability in each bottle - many, many times more than a same sized liquid food color bottle. Highly recommended and at a really good price at the time of this review.

You will be happy with this
I'm really glad I bought the Ateco 12-Color Food Coloring Kit. I found it searching for Black food coloring for my Halloween cookies. I just finished my Christmas cookies which turned out amazingly thanks to this food coloring kit.Each color is very bright and solid. The pastes mix very well with frosting (I have not used them for anything else yet). These are the nicest/brightest Christmas sugar cookies I have ever made.You don't need to use a lot of coloring, just a drop or two, to get the perfect shade. As such, each bottle will last a long time.

Who Needs Wilton?
I'm sick of scads of nasty toothpicks all over my counter when I'm tinting icings; the squeeze-bottle concept is one that is long overdue and exceptionally welcome. The colors are vibrant, do not have an offensive taste, and blend, in my opinion, more smoothly than the Wilton pastes. You'll need to experiment a bit to get hues right at first, but it's well worth it.

Vibrant Colors
I am a cake decorator who has been struggling to create vibrant icing and fondant colors without using a ton of coloring. The Americolor soft gel colors are amazing!! Just a few drops of color produce vibrant, brilliant colors that get stronger with time. There is no bitter taste to the icing and they blend well. Definitely a must for any baker!!

Great Product!
After several attempts with gel colors I finally broke down and bought liquid colors. I heard a lot about Americolor and I am so glad I listened! Food Colors
Americolor came highly recommended by my cake decorating instructor. The colors are dramatic and fade less than some others. Since they are a gel paste, they do not change the consistency of the icing.

Wow!! Great product. We used this at Christmas to create some fantastic cookies. It only takes a very little of the color to create very bright colored icing!! Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to produce that "professional" look with their baking.

Superb coloring
AmeriColor makes great gel pastes. They are easy to use, produce excellent coloring results and their deeper colors (red, black) don't have that weird metallic taste that one finds with other brands of food coloring. This color kit has a few colors that I'm not likely to use anytime soon, but all in all I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Great time and money saving color
A little gel color and u can get the shade your looking for easily. Which means both time and money saver. Since I am learning cake baking on my own; wasting ingredients are one of my main concern. But the color gel has really helped on saving color. Which means I dont have to worry about re-ordering very often. The only two draw backs are that firstly black color should be made available in the pack, since it is one of the most difficult shades to obtain. And the quantity should be increased for the price that we are paying. But otherwise the colors are great and I would definitely order again.

Americolor is good but vendor is questionable
I've purchased many different Americolor gel colors and am happy with them when they are fresh. I purchased 7 bottles from this TCP vendor and 5 of them were old, one even had a use by date of one year before my order! Working with TCP to get a refund has not been as pleasant as working directly with Amazon. I finally did get a refund but only for the product, not the shipping charges. The products were old and unusable. I am very disappointed with this vendor and will purchase my colorants from another more reliable source. Americolor is good TCP is not.The two yellows I ordered from TCP were good and fresh and the student pack that shipped directly from Amazon was good and fresh. I'm happy with these colors but will not order again from TCP because of the other 5 old colors.
