Great!
This is great if you plan on selling your car, or use multiple cars, or just lend your your EZpass to others. it stays on well and portable unlike that velcro that is kinda permanent.

Love this item.
I purchased this item for my new car and love it. Before I had the hook and loop to hold my EZ PASS on the window. Every time I would change cars it was a hassle. Now it comes off easy and there's no problem. Also, it stays up and is really easy to use. Recommend this product.

No More Double Sided Velcro Tape on My Windshield!!!
I purchased two of these... one for my husband and one for myself. I personally love it. With the usual attachment of Velcro on my windshield... I used to hate how it would look from the outside looking into my car. I now have a new car and would not make that mistake again. It looks neat, and I don't have those ugly velcro tabs anymore to stare at while walking to my car. As for my husband.. well I am hoping he puts it to action right away... because he is always taking the ez-pass in and out while passing thru the toll.... I think it is a great price for the money and I think I saw it at Bridgstone or Autozone for about $10.00. It arrived in a couple of days... Why didn't I do it sooner!

Simple ..maybe too simple
The New York motorcycle EZ Pass with half of the heavy duty 3M Dual Lock attachment strips stuck to the back does not fit into this holder. Removing the strips and the adhesive from the EZ Pass allowed it to slide into the unit, but then it rattled because of the loose fit. I fabricated a Block-U shaped piece of 1/4" thick acrylic shim that slides into the holder after first inserting the EZ Pass. The rattles are gone. The U shaped was required in order to surround the raised letter "M" on the back of the pass.

Stupid Buy
This has nothing to do w/ the product, which I'm sure does exactly what is advertized. However, I should have just called EZ-Pass first - when I called to switch my vehicle info, they offered to send me new velcro for free. Wish I would have called before I ordered!!

Also works sideways for California FasTrak toll tag
I bought two of these, thinking that all US highway toll tags were the same size.No such luck. The California FasTrak toll tag is too wide by a few millimeters. You can put the FasTrak in sideways (e.g. left side down) but then it sticksout the top about half an inch. Also, you can't put this right at the top ofthe front windshield because then the toll tag can't be inserted or removed. You have to put it a few inches down from the top, where it blocks more of theview than I like.Update: After trying some other products I came back to this product and found away to make it work with the California FasTrak toll tag. Now, I'm completelyhappy with it and recommend it. The trick is simple: mount the SharePass sideways, with the opening on the side, not on the top. Then the FasTrak slips in fromthe side, not the top. The FasTrak fits quite well this way, not too big,and is right side up, not sideways. The...

Ez Pass

"Various fee structures are under evaluation, including a monthly $1 set fee, which was presented to the Commonwealth Transportation Board (Wednesday)," the Transportation Department said in a statement late Wednesday. Under the VDOT transponder fee proposal, E-ZPass account holders still would pay the normal tolls for using toll highways, bridges and tunnels. The Virginia Department of Transportation registers about 560,000 E-ZPass accounts holding 900,000 E-ZPass transponders. Virginia E-ZPass accounts could double over the next several years as the department intends to distribute the E-ZPass devices through retail establishments, such as grocery stores and big-box retailers, and DMV offices. The monthly transponder fee would not apply to out-of-state E-ZPass accounts traveling on Virginia toll facilities, VDOT said. VDOT wants to charge a $1 per month fee for E-ZPass toll-collection transponders starting July 1. VDOT said it would drop the transaction fees if the monthly transponder fee is adopted. With several new electronically tolled roads, bridges and tunnels coming into operation by the end of 2012, the state highway agency said Wednesday, it needs the proposed fee to support the expansion in E-ZPass use. "E-ZPass was originally presented to the public as a cost-saving measure which would automate the program and reduce the number of toll collectors needed," said Martha Mitchell Meade with AAA Mid-Atlantic, which has nearly 1 million members in... To get an E-ZPass transponder, customers put down a $35 toll prepayment and a $25 deposit for each transponder.

Finally, adding a fee, even a modest one such as this (and we all know fees will just continue to go up over time), will just encourage occasional EZ-Pass users like me to ditch EZ-Pass. If anything, increase the fare for cash tolls to encourage people to move to EZ Pass. Second, the whole idea of EZ Pass was that it would cut costs by reducing the number of toll collectors needed.

“The use of our EZ Pass System is going to double over the next several years because we have some major toll facilities coming on board,” said Virginia Department of Transportation’s Tamara Rollison. AAA Mid Atlantic’s Martha Meade said the organization understands the need for transportation funding, but that tacking on new fees for drivers who bought EZ Pass for its convenience is the wrong move. RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Drivers who use EZ Pass to roll through Virginia toll booths may soon have to pay more for that convenience. “This is not the only option, and I’m sure they can find an option that is more equal for everybody and not just people who are EZ Pass holders.

Also, I would imagine VDOT is paying some cost to have the Virginia tags linked into the EZ Pass system so they can be used all over the east coast, and I think it’s reasonable to pass that cost on to users somehow. The difference is that in NY you get a discount on tolls if you pay with EZ Pass (or you used to, on most bridges – haven’t noticed if the discount is still in place up there). If it costs less, then the toll should be discounted for EZ pass users and a nominal fee-for-service added. Using the EZ Pass Express lanes on the way to New York is a major benefit for me. But from the policy side, toll discounts would encourage more drivers to sign up, reducing slowdowns for everyone. The toll discount is great for convincing drivers to sign up for EZ Pass, which benefits traffic flow for everyone. I already pay this fee because I got my EZ Pass in NY and haven’t bothered to get a new one from the VA division. Its other purpose is to make thing easier for us – no need to carry change or cash, quicker (ideally) passage through tolls: in other words, convenience for the EZ Pass user. (I neglected to mention earlier that I am all for discounted tolls for EZ Pass users. There are are number of good reasons for one not wishing to have an EZ-pass including risk of theft, inconvenience of refill, frequency of use, legitimate concerns about the protection of personally identifiable info for auto refill, and multiple... The EZ pass is not just to improve the flow of traffic and reduce costs – lets not pat ourselves too firmly on the back if that is our idea of responsible citizenship.
