Should definitely read before getting a dwarf bunny
The book's design and photos are very pleasing (& very cute!). The author offers much useful and easy to understand advice. If you're looking into getting a bunny or just became an owner of one, I highly recommend this book because it will make you & your bunny's lives easier. It gives you tips on how to bond with your bunny, what to do and what NOT to do with him/her. I made the mistake of not having read this book before raising my bunny. I did things that I thought were completely normal to do (I have 2 very small dogs & have had many animals before) but were totally inappropriate when it comes to rabbits. Just being caring and loving is not enough. You need to learn to care and love the right way to ensure a happy and enjoyable life for the both of you.

Unfortunately I was late!
I am sorry that I did not buy this book before I bought my rabbit. I wish I had read it before doing so many mistakes. I recommend you to read this book before buying this lovely creature, at least not to hurt it against your will.

An excellent start to learning how to care for your pet.
This book is really amazing. It teaches you almost everything you need to know about rabbits, and is very accurate. We bought the book as a guide when we bought our first bunny, and it has really been a fantasic guide. If you are only going to buy one book, make it this one, you will not be disappointed.

If you get one book, this is THE BOOK.
There is so much information that you will find yourself reading the book over and over again, finding new things. I would recommend no other book on rabbits. When I picked up my new bunny, I picked up a few books and magazines on house rabbits. Read them, went on the web, read some more, but I was not satisfied. My mother picked up another book on rabbits and I thought it was going to be more wasted money. I started to read "MY DWARF RABBIT" and I realized within a few pages that this was no ordinary book. This IS THE BOOK, the one I had been looking for. I built a condo for my little rabbit, like Monika's, and he got excited and started running up and down the levels. When I went to kiss him good night, he started giving me kisses! I made a play area, like Monika's, including the sand box and my little rabbit is so happy that he'd rather play in the sand than be anywhere else. This is truly a useful book with GREAT PHOTOGRAPHS. For the rabbit owner who wants a playful, loving pet!
I have looked through several other books on rabbits, and for the most part the information that you find is very technical, impersonal, and "informative." This is not a bad thing...in fact, the other rabbit book that I own has a lot of very good information about rabbit health, diet, and breeding. But "My Dwarf Rabbit" by Monika Wegler is an amazing and unique resource on keeping rabbits as loving, beloved pets. She talks about her own experiences with rabbits and gives wonderful advice. She provides lists of toys to create or purchase for your bunnies...including a sandbox, which I had never heard of before this and my bunny absolutely adores! She talks about understanding and correcting behavior, from very shy rabbits to aggressive little tricksters. I have never owned a rabbit before, and I was extremely nervous about it...but now I have a rabbit that follows me from room to room and hops up on my lap the minute I sit down, ready to be cuddled and eat treats out of my hand...

This is a very good book that everyone planning to get a dwarf rabbit should get. When other books say things like rabbits need [amount of something], the dwarf rabbit person has to remember that this means the amount that a standard-sized rabbit needs. That's not a problem with this book. And there are pictures of most of the dwarf breeds that are helpful in finding the breed you like. Another nice feature for the new owner is a list of fresh foods by whether they are highly recommended, recommended, OK, no-no's [including spinach], or poisonous.However, the author is a bit opinionated on things, such as that you should always own more than one rabbit. Some people don't have the room & I don't think first-time owners should have to deal with 2 right away. And because she deals only with numerous rabbits at a time, she recommends very elaborate setups. if your bun can stand it
my rabbit wont let me harness him. these work better for larger buns, i have a dwarf.getting your bun to sit still long enough to put this on can be tricky unless your little one is lazy. however once on its secure and holds fast. it dosnt seem to cause irritation or discomfort or restrict mobility. a fiesty bun can easily slip out of harness if he's willing to put all the extra energy into it.make sure you have a back up fence so your rabbit dosnt try returning to the wild.

Easy to use
Our bunny really doesn't seem to mind her leash and we do walk her occasionally. I took her to the vet in it the other day and the vet thought it was so cute. It is not over constricting but it is snug enough that she cannot get out of it. It is well designed and the materials are of decent quality.

Fits well.
This Harness fits my Holland lop very well. He's a bigger bunny and i'm able to wrap it around him tightly. The leash is a good length too. The fabric is thin and didn't come in the color that is pictured here. The fabric I got was bright pink with multi colored flowers all over it, it wasn't the color i expected or wanted (because my bunny is a boy) but I've grown to like it.
